I am an Assistant Professor at Reykjavik University, where I run the HUMI Lab within CADIA, the university's AI research center. I completed my PhD at Northeastern University, working with the Relational Agents Group. My research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction, natural language processing, and health informatics. I study human-centered machine intelligence, aiming to design systems that are dependable, safe, and aligned with human values. My work spans digital health, language technologies, and intelligent conversational agents, with a specific focus on applications in health behavior change, clinical assessment, and patient safety.
